Te Totara Primary School - Growing and Learning Together

Out of Class Activities

We offer a variety of out-of-class sports and activities at Te Totara Primary School at different times during the year. Information about what is available is usually published in our weekly newsletter and/or on our school Facebook page. At Te Totara, we promote self-managing and our students are encouraged to listen out for messages via our internal intercom (bing bong) system about meetings to find out about different things happening at school. This system is used to alert students about upcoming activities, and there is usually a meeting time and place advised, where the teachers in charge of the activity will share information and give out interest and/or permission letters.

After School Sports

There are a variety of sports available at Te Totara Primary School and we are always open to trying new ones if we can get enough parent support.

We rely on parent support to make these sports happen so if you are interested in coaching or managing a team please let us know!  We try to run practices at lunchtime or straight after school as we find this suits most families best.  If you would like to learn more about how we run our sports teams please read our Frequently asked questions.doc.

When children are playing in a sports team with the Te Totara colours they are representing our school and all involved in this need to abide by our Code of Behaviour:

Uniforms

All students playing a school sport will need to purchase a red polo shirt before their season begins.

If your child is signed up to a team and you have any questions please contact the teacher in charge of the sport.
