Matawhero Team (Year 0/1)
Team Leader, Teacher in Matawhero 3
Kia ora, my name is Mrs Bridie Carr-Neil.
I am looking forward to working with the fabulous Matawhero team and supporting your children as they transition to school and begin their journey as life long learners.
I enjoy the inquisitive nature of young children and how they are excited about the little things in life.
I began teaching in 2003, teaching mainly in the junior end at country schools. Before I joined Te Totara Primary in 2011, I taught Year 0-2 at Kaihere Primary School and was also the Reading Recovery teacher.
I am married to Zane, an engineer, and we have two children, Keira aged 9 and Jackson aged 11. As a family we enjoy renovating our home, establishing gardens, and working on our few acres. In our spare time we also enjoy camping and going to the beach.
Teacher Matawhero 2
Kia Ora, my name is Anna Littler and I am very excited to be back working at Te Totara with the Matawhero team again.
In 2017 I had the pleasure of working as an English Language teacher, helping children to acquire the English language. I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside a range of students from many cultures and looking closely at how each individual learns. I feel the knowledge I gained was valuable to the young learners I had in room 2 last year.
I have two small children of my own, Ollie who has recently turned 5 and Chole who is 3 years old. As a family, we love spending time together and exploring the outdoors.
Teacher in Matawhero 2 Fridays
My name is Rachel Corban. This year I have the pleasure of teaching in Matawhero 2 on Fridays. I started teaching in 2005 in the senior primary school and over the years I have moved down the year groups to New Entrants/Year 1 and love it!
I am married to Ron and we have 3 children. Our oldest son is just about to start school, our little girl is 3 and our youngest son is 2 so the rest of the week I am immersed in the world of preschoolers! As a family we enjoy being outdoors or spending time with friends.
