Hello my name is Louise Sharpe and I am about to begin my first year as a Teacher Aide at Te Totara Primary School.

I started working with children within a primary school environment in 1998, when I qualified as a Teaching Assistant in the UK. I enjoyed working with the children and making a difference to their lives. I continued this until I went on maternity leave in 2007.

My husband, son and I moved from the UK in 2009 and I then became involved in Playcentre until my son started at Te Totara. Shortly afterwards we welcomed twin girls into the world and they have kept me busy for the last few years! Now they are about to start school, I volunteered at Te Totara last year, in the library and classroom and am now ready for a new challenge of returning to Teacher Aiding.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, reading, movies, sports and yoga.
