This is my fourth year at Te Totara. I really enjoy working here with the children and staff. I have a varied role within the school. I work with a range of children of different ages and different learning and social needs.
My husband and I have two children who have both been at Te Totara.
Hi I am Tina Carter and I have had the privilege to work at Te Totara School since February 2012 as a Teacher Aide.
I have two boys at school - one Year 3, and the other in Year 5.
As a mother I don't have time for my own hobbies, but love sports and spend my time encouraging, supporting and being involved with the boys' soccer and cricket teams.
Hi, my name is Jimina Chiles and I enjoy being a Teacher Aide working with the children In Matawhero.
My husband Des and I moved here from Gisborne early March 2012. I am still trying to get used to the “Hamilton Fog” otherwise I am enjoying the change very much.
I enjoy being and having fun with the family – especially our grandchildren. I like watching them play Saturday sport and helping with their activities.
I also enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and baking – it is always enjoyable eating someone else’s food as well! Des and I are involved with Ulysses Motorcycle Club and we especially like club rides and touring with other members.
Hello, I am Paula Dinan. I have been a Teacher Aide for 6.5 years and I worked with 5 year olds up to 10 year olds. this year, I am excited to be working with children in Neptune, Earth and Ra.
I live with Nick and our three children. Our children are past students of Te Totara and they all enjoyed being part of this wonderful school.
I love reading, music, movies, and keeping fit. We are an active sporting family and you will find us most weekends on the sideline at various sports.
Hi, my name is Jenna and I have been part of the Te Totara community since my oldest started school in 2010. I was then fortunate enough to begin working here as a Teacher Aide in 2014 after my third (and youngest) started school.
I really enjoy working with children of all ages, abilities and needs. It is such a joy and privilege to be able to help them with their learning. I am lucky to have had a variety of roles in this job and to be able to say that I work with an incredible community of people.

I am married to Craig who is a builder and have two daughters. Ella has done her schooling here at Te Totara and is now in year 9 at RJHS which she enjoys and plays a lot of football. Libby is in year 6 here at Te Totara and she also plays a lot of football.
My outside interests are keeping fit and healthy. I love running and bikram yoga and also the gym. I also love reading as much as I can.
My name is Wendy McMillan and this is my 8th year at Te Totara.
I have 3 children, aged 17, 15 and 13.
I love spending time with my family and in my spare time I enjoy running, playing Netball and Touch and spending time at the beach.
Hi I’m Kate McMorran and I joined the Teacher Aide team in 2016 after 10 years as a full time Mum. I have three children who are students at Te Totara and RJHS.
I love being part of the Te Totara team. Art is a great passion of mine & I find it really rewarding being creative with the students. I have worked with most year levels doing Mural Painting & I have painted backdrops for school productions. I have also coached & managed hockey & touch rugby teams. My family & I love sailing and we try to get out on the water most school holidays.
Hello my name is Louise Sharpe and I am about to begin my second year as a Teacher Aide at Te Totara Primary School.
I started working with children within a primary school environment in 1998, when I qualified as a Teaching Assistant in the UK. I enjoyed working with the children and making a difference to their lives. I continued this until I went on maternity leave in 2007.
My husband, son and I moved from the UK in 2009 and I then became involved in Playcentre until my son started at Te Totara. This son now attends Rototuna Junior High School and I also have twin girls who are in Year 2 at Te Totara Primary School.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, reading, movies and yoga.

I have been a Teacher Aide for 4 years. I enjoy working with children and have mainly worked with children with high needs. I am a patient person and I am always eager to learn and help others. I find it rewarding with the children and I look forward to meeting you and your children.
